We don't score retailers for you. Here's what we check, and how you can check it yourself.
How this table is built.
- Materials and safety information disclosed on the product page
- Return or exchange policy stated in plain language before checkout
- Shipping and billing discretion confirmed, not just implied
- Customer support reachable by a real channel, not a form that goes nowhere
| Criterion | What to look for | Why it matters | Where to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Materials disclosure | Body-safe, non-porous, phthalate-free where relevant, stated on the product page | Materials affect both safety and how easy an item is to clean | Product description, not just the photo |
| Return policy | Plain terms for unopened items, stated before you pay | Hygiene categories often limit returns — you want to know the limit before checkout, not after | Policy page, linked from the product or footer |
| Shipping discretion | Plain outer packaging confirmed in the retailer's own FAQ | “Discreet” is a marketing word until the retailer states specifically what it means | Retailer FAQ or shipping page |
| Billing discretion | A neutral descriptor confirmed, not assumed | The line on a bank or card statement is a separate privacy question from the parcel | Retailer FAQ, or ask support directly |
| Review specificity | Reviews that mention fit, noise, material feel — not just “love it” | Specific reviews are harder to fake than generic ones | Product review section |
| Support channel | A real reply channel — email or chat with a named response time | A form with no stated response time is a sign complaints go unanswered | Contact or support page |
This table tells you what to check, not which retailer to choose — comfort, budget and the specific category you want still decide that. It also can't verify a policy hasn't changed since we last checked; when in doubt, confirm on the retailer's own page.
